At the heart of it all, I’m a user advocate and problem solver. With 15 years of experience I’ve learned to work closely with stakeholders, designers and developers to create solutions that find a balance between user needs and project scope.
what I offer you and your organization
I'm a problem solver
I’ve delivered solutions in health care, telecom, account management, smart home systems, and complex web and app architecture. I love solving problems, and I’d love to solve them with you.
I make things make sense
Whether it’s a messy brief, a tangled UX flow, or a cross-functional collaboration, I bring clarity to chaos and help teams move forward with confidence.
I'm always learning
I hunt for knowledge, driven by a natural curiosity about how and why things work the way they do. Whether it’s exploring a new industry, unpacking user behavior, or understanding a complex system, I pick things up quickly and love connecting the dots.
Why UX?
My earliest memory that affords any clue into my future life as an experience designer is when, at about 5 or 6, I created sign-in sheets for my parents and siblings so we always knew where each of us would be spending our time eating dinner each night.
My idea was simple, we would each list 1. what we wanted for dinner, 2. when we wanted to eat, and 3. where we would eat said dinner. Though she applauded my efforts, my mother was not a fan. Spoiler alert; we had no choice, 1. dinner was what she said it was, 2. dinner was when she said it was, and 3. dinner was always at the kitchen table. But that was me. Even as a child, I was naturally drawn to studying user behavior, instinctively identifying patterns and organizing them into categories. Years later, that same curiosity still drives me, transforming complexity into clarity and information into insight.
That's me on the right, my Star Wars lunchbox in hand, right around the time I started making sense of the things I couldn't understand. For example, why is my sister wearing Go-Go Boots?
I also take pictures... mostly of birds... usually of birds... almost always of birds.
